Friday 20th September - walk **** – Around Felixstowe – sunny and warm.

After three full-on windsurfing foil sessions in as many days sailing 98 miles I decided to have a day off as didn’t fancy another 54 mile round trip to Wrabness and spend it with the lovely Maeva:) I even managed to do my exercises before we headed out as we had to buy Maeva a cup then after the town we headed down to the seafront past Harvest House, despite the good breeze from the NE, a tad off at The Fludgers it was really pleasant to amble along the prom and stopped on the beach near the Spa Theatre to feed a couple of gulls a crust and stayed for 45 minutes enjoying playing with pebbles and watching the waves roll in. Maeva is bright as a button with her vocabulary coming on leaps and bounds, word of the day today was Granddad although she is not so keen on me, a real Granny’s girl:) After a quick spin around the pier it was time to push the buggy up a steep hill and home for lunch, cheesy beans Maeva’s favourite. Then after a cuppa and biscuit Maeva dozed off on Mag I decided to head out on my bike!

Bike **** - Around Felixstowe.

I headed down to the prom at 3.15, not great biking weather with 20 mph winds from the NE, I was low on battery too, in fact it ran out towards the end of the ride! I had a close call when a lady taking a photo walked backwards into me but no harm done, it was fairly busy too with several people laying in the warm sunshine sheltered behind groynes, it was surprisingly mild! Then around the the prom at The Dip where I stopped a couple of times to take pics of the waves splashing up the concrete steps! I got to Felixstowe Ferry just in time to see the fish monger feeding the off cuts to hundreds of noisy gulls:) Out on the Deben bumpy path turning down Marsh Lane and back to Felixstowe and home where Maeva was still asleep on Mag!
